Gastown, Vancouver’s historic district, is known for its cobblestone streets, vintage shops, and vibrant nightlife. But this year, the neighborhood is adding a new twist: a terrifying haunted house experience that’s sure to send shivers down your spine.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Playland will transform into a haunted amusement park once again, inviting horror-loving thrill-seekers to peruse the spooky grounds within. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Filled with creepy decorations, roaming monsters, eight haunted houses, and over 15 hair-raising rides, Fright Nights at Playland<\/a> returns on select nights starting Oct. 6. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Each night, a chilling “Opening Scaremony” will take place at the amusement park entrance. At 6 p.m., Venom and Coco will open the festival gates and let fog and creepy cast members roll out into the crowd. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Inside, locals can relive the terrors hidden inside the amusement park’s eight haunted houses, and experience a brand new horror inside a brand new haunted addition. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dubbed “one of the scariest haunted houses in Fright Nights history,” The Void is a lush and beautiful Pacific Northwest forest with a monstrous secret. Within the thick grove are the Howling Caves and many people, coincidentally, go missing along the trails near the caves. Venture into these woods at your own risk. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The highly anticipated Carn-Evil will also return to the festival grounds this year, bringing the most terrifying clown nightmares to life. Inside this creepy haunted house clowns are humanoid creatures who live in the sewers below and multiply and grow when they encounter radioactive toxic waste. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
